Cryogenic
Cryogenics is a different world entirely to high temperature applications. The main focus of cryogenic applications is a fabrics cold-crack resistance at temperatures well below zero.
Cryogenic temperatures are generally defined as anything in the range of -150°C to -273°C, also known as absolute zero.
Many polymers have the capability to go below zero, but into the realm of cryogenics, only PTFE is a suitable polymer.

PTFE can maintain good flexibility at temperature as low as -100°C and have shown that it has a working temperature as low as -200°C with little or no increased embrittlement.
The base fabric is the next stumbling point, and research shows that Kevlar® or para-aramid, has a useful attribute for cryogenic applications – its tensile strength increases the lower the temperature goes.
