Aviation

Composites

We supply a wide range of reinforcement fabrics for the composites sector, supporting the production of strong, lightweight, and durable GRP and FRP components. Our woven glass, carbon, aramid, and basalt fabrics enhance mechanical strength and structural integrity, making them ideal for use in automotive, marine, aerospace, and industrial composite applications.

Construction

We supply flexible fibre mesh solutions for the construction sector, ideal for reinforcing complex or curved concrete structures where traditional steel mesh is unsuitable. Our mesh products can be cut, shaped, and embedded precisely where needed, and are compatible with modern concrete flooring technologies that allow reinforcement to be integrated during the build-up process.

Protective Clothing/PPE

THS manufactures and supplies a wide range of aramid, viscose, PBO, Nomex and glass coated and laminated fabrics. These are fabricated into aluminised suits, gloves and gauntlets, cut resistant sleeves and many other articles. They are used across a wide range of high-risk environments, including foundries, molten metal processing plants, welding operations, oil and gas facilities, and even firefighting. 

Fire Protection Materials

Fire protective textiles (FPTs) have seen major advancements in response to increasing safety requirements across multiple sectors. 

Our comprehensive selection of FPTs features thoroughly tested solutions like fire and smoke curtains, trusted for their reliable performance. These materials are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, welding safety, and thermal insulation.

High Temperature Insulation Materials

We provide high-temperature insulation solutions engineered to perform reliably in extreme environments. Our advanced materials withstand continuous temperatures up to 1000°C and beyond, using specialist textiles such as alumina and zirconia fibers. 

For the most severe conditions we provide multi-layer insulation jackets designed to offer certified protection levels that limit flame exposure and prevent fire spread.

Military & Defence

We manufacture high-performance fabrics for the military and defence sector, engineered to meet the extreme demands of combat and operational environments. Mining

We create high-performance textiles for the mining sector, designed to withstand extreme heat, abrasion, and harsh environmental conditions. Our solutions include silicone-coated glass fabrics, needlemat insulation, and protective sleeves. These are each engineered to support engine efficiency and shield components from heat and wear. These materials also play a critical role in reducing fire risks in heavy-duty earthmoving equipment.

Molten Metal Processing

We manufacture heavy-duty vermiculite-treated glass fabrics specifically engineered for the molten metal processing sector, capable of withstanding extreme temperatures from 600°C up to over 1000°C. These textiles are designed to resist molten metal droplets and retain slag on the surface until cooled, providing reliable protection in intense heat environments.

OEM Markets

Refractory

Our range includes ceramic, silica, and treated glass fabrics, as well as laminated materials with aluminium or stainless steel foils. These are all engineered to withstand continuous high temperatures, resist thermal shock, and improve energy efficiency by containing heat.

Our expertise allows us to create custom insulation jackets and mattresses that enhance safety, efficiency, and durability across diverse environments, using materials like silicone, PTFE, vermiculite, and silica treatments tailored to meet specific temperature and environmental requirements.

Trace Heating

We manufacture high-temperature resistant fabrics ideal for the trace heating sector, where durability and consistent thermal performance are essential. Our materials, such as silicone or PTFE-coated fabrics, are designed to perform in high-temperature environments. 

When combined with insulation layers like needlemat, they are ideal for a range of trace heating applications. These fabric systems offer reliable heat resistance and protection against external conditions.

Welding

We provide advanced welding protection fabrics designed to safeguard both personnel and equipment from the high fire risks associated with welding. 

Using treated materials like vermiculite, graphite, PU-coated glass, and silica fabrics, we offer heat-resistant, non-combustible, and flexible solutions available as rolls, blankets, pads, or mats. These can include insulation layers to minimise heat transfer, and can even be engineered into full welding habitats for high-risk environments such as offshore oil rigs.
